Bio:
You’ve never seen a band like Buckets. The 4-piece indie rock outfit hailing from Los Angeles puts on an overwhelmingly energetic, yet emotional show. Tightroping between dynamic extremes from track-to-track, or even verse-to-verse, the quartet implements everything from saturated, soaring guitar riffs and heart-pumping fuzzy bass tones, to tender melodies and impassioned, unvarnished vocals. Buckets’ signature sonic style, unique blend of digital and analogue, and creative use of field recordings is evidenced on their recent EP ‘Good Luck, Bad Dog,’ mixed by Alex Newport (Death Cab For Cutie, At The Drive-In, Bloc Party, etc.). The new record is the band’s first new music since spending several years touring the United States and Mexico, and follows up their debut, self-titled album which dropped in early 2021.
Comprised of Tanner Houghton, Sasha Massey, Mitch Rossiter, and Hiram Sevilla, Buckets brings together both members and influences from the Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and Northern Mexico. All seasoned players from varying backgrounds and styles, the tight-knit ensemble bring a captivating take to the indie genre, and are sure to impress any and all onlookers.

“Speaking of bands scratching your ’90s itch, Buckets are proving to be buckets of fun… Starting soft but then dialing up the gang vocals, “Better” sounds like something you’d tell your therapist, if your therapist were wearing earplugs.
“…a sprawling and gentle indie-folk sound that soon turns into a bit more of an expansive and emotive blend of haunting vocals and uplifting guitar work that gradually builds and spreads its wings as it goes on.”
-We All Want Someone To Shout For
“Filled to the brim with bright, infectious guitar riffs, multi-dimensional structures, and catchy hooks...”
“There’s a lively energy that’s not always easy to capture on record that makes Buckets’ debut full length so exciting, whether it’s the vibrant guitar tones, gang vocal chants, or stomping rock drum beats. Buckets are clearly passionate about their music and who are poised to break out at any moment.”
“When the ambient sort of house party vibe takes over I smile broadly at how real improvisational tones are as important as fully crafted artful psychedelic. Very cool art here, very cool.”
“…starts off unassuming but bursts into a blast of indie-punk emotion, full of gang vocals and whammy-bar guitar theatrics. There’s a bit of passionate emo emotional-sentiment here too, but this one also breathes with the quiet/loud aesthetic of Pixies as well.”
